KDU College Penang Inspires Aspiring Designers with Graphic Design Experts

George Town, 7 October 2015 – The Centre of Design Excellence (CODE) of KDU College Penang (KDU College) rounded up three graphic design experts during its “CODE Designer’s Talk 2015” at the KDU College Auditorium on 2 October this year.

CODE Designer’s Talk 2015 was a collaborative effort between lecturers and senior CODE students of KDU College, with the objective of giving students an understanding of the requirements for a Diploma in Creative Media Design.

Speaking at the event were Muhammad Aliffira Rezza, a freelancer and illustrator who is a CODE alumni from KDU College, Lim Chun Woei, a renowned graphic designer who founded of Urban Cr3atures and part-time lecturer in KDU College, and Abdul Rahman Noureldin, an international graphic designer and digital illustrator from Egypt who currently resides in Kuala Lumpur. The speakers also advised students on career opportunities in this industry, sharing with them real-life experiences.

KDU College’s CODE lecturer Maizul Affendy Bin Baharudin said, “This talk is part of KDU’s effort to improve its education offerings by keeping its courses industry-relevant and giving students a platform for students to engage with the current newsmakers in this industry.

“This was a highly beneficial talk for those attending, which numbers consisted of a bulk of our CODE students. We are also proud to host a 130-strong group of 3rd year graphic students from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), and engaging them with the vibrant creative media industry here.”
