KDU College Penang Strikes Gold at AEC Culinary Challenge 2015

KDU College Penang’s (KDU College) School of Culinary Arts bagged the team gold medal in the AEC (ASEAN Economic Country) Culinary Challenge 2015. Representing the KDU College team were Chef Chuah Lay Yen and Chef Darren Tan. Held at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre from 2nd to 5th of September, the competition drew participants from Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, with two chefs representing each country. A panel of highly accredited chefs presided over the competition, two of which were Executive Sous Chef Adolf Tan of Resort World Sentosa Singapore and Intel Malaysia’s Executive Chef Audee Cheah.
