5 Star Recognition: Students stream in for KDU Penang’s Open Day and April intake

They always say that 'form is temporary, class is permanent' and this was certainly the case for KDU Penang's enrolment so far for 2012 as it enters is 21st year in Penang. Buoyant by its record breaking enrolment for the January and February intake with close to 400 students going through its doors, the long standing preferred private tertiary education institution was also the favorite booth during the recently concluded Star Education Fair with over 130 students registering for its programs during the fair alone.

This run of excellent enrolment trend has extended into its recently held KDU Open Day on 30 March and 1 April with close to 100 students again registering for the 2 day offer which also offered the registrants RM 200 fee waivers besides the chance to get themselves an exclusive Dato' Lee Chong Wei autographed badminton racquet who is also the official brand ambassador for the KDU Education Group. Hemiendren a/l Poobalan, who registered for KDU's Diploma in Business came as early as 8.45 in the morning to ensure he will be among the first 20 to qualify for the exclusive racquet. He is also amongst 380 students who so far enrolled for the college's ongoing April intake. According to KDU College Penang's CEO & Principal Dr. Chong Beng Keok, the excellent enrolment number for the esteemed institution's 1st quarter intakes certainly solidifies KDU's status as MyQuest 5 Star institution and is again a vindication of the superior learning experience it has been offering to its students for the past 21 years. Even its scholarships have been quickly taken up by eligible recipients since the month of January 2012.

The college was a sea of excited students as many new students and their equally beaming parents came early for the college's orientation day on the 16th of April 2012. KDU's new fully furnished auditorium was set abuzz with their students eagerly taking their seats to begin their new journey with KDU starting with the college's standard fun filled 3 day orientation. KDU Marketing & Communications Manager, Mr. Neoh Soon Ken also highlighted this has so far been KDU Penang's best ever enrolment year with students coming from not only the Penang island but the whole of Northern Malaysia as well and it came as no surprise as the college has always placed its emphasis on the students' learning experience and quality job prospects they receive from the industry upon the graduation of their studies. He further stressed that students who have missed KDU's April intake which is still open for registration due to National Service duties and Government Scholarship applications should quickly come to enquire and register for the college's May and July 2012 intakes.
