KDU Penang University College’s contingent of Diploma in Professional Chef Training (Dip-PCT) clinched first place at “Cooking in the Park 2016”, a local cooking competition open to all colleges in Penang. Amazingly, the campus also won second to sixth place. Each team consisted of two students. Organised by MPPP (Penang Island Municipal Council) and Chef’s Association of Malaysia, this competition was held at the Municipal (Youth) Park, Quarry Drive, Penang on April 24. Each team were required to prepare a main course meal and a dessert dish within one hour.
