George Town, 22 Jan 2018 – The School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts (SHTCA) created history in the “Food & Hotel China International Culinary Arts Competition” held from 12-18 November 2017 in Shanghai, China. Students, Alumni and Chefs from SHTCA, KDU University College (KDU Penang) received a silver medal in the competition’s 24-Hour Buffet Showpiece (team) Category.
The students prepared Malaysian Chicken Rice with a more creative and innovative twist for the showcase,” said Chef Chuah Lay Yen. Good planning, preparation, team coordination and quality team members helped the team to win.
